October 4-6, 2024: A Three-Day Celebration of Culture, Music, and Tradition
KALIBO, Aklan – The much-awaited Kalibo Señor Santo Niño Ati-Atihan Festival 2025 is set to kick off with a grand Opening Salvo from October 4 to 6, 2024, promising an unforgettable experience for all festival-goers. This three-day celebration marks the start of the countdown to the Mother of All Philippine Festivals, combining tradition, artistry, and star-studded performances.
A Star-Studded Lineup
Adding to the excitement, some of the country’s biggest and most popular celebrities are set to light up the stage:
- Yeng Constantino – Philippines’ Pop Rock Royalty will headline the live performances on October 5 at 9:30 PM in Kalibo Pastrana Park.
- Nik Makino, the rapper known for his hit “Moon,” will be performing on October 4 during the opening night of the festivities.
- Tom Rodriguez and Efrille Canonigo, along with other surprise guests, will also bring their star power, ensuring an exciting and vibrant atmosphere.
Event Highlights
Day 1 – October 4, 2024
- The Ginuman Fest at Kalibo Pastrana Park, featuring music and local delicacies, kicks off the festivities.
- The 2nd Mayor Juris Cup Shooting Competition at Camp Pastor Martelino runs from October 4 to 6.
- Nik Makino‘s performance is a highlight of the opening night, bringing energy to the streets of Kalibo.
Day 2 – October 5, 2024
- The day starts with the 1st Mayor Juris B. Sucro Hala BiRun Marathon at 1 a.m., followed by a mass at Kalibo Cathedral at 8 a.m.
- The blessing of the Kalibo Pastrana Park stage and Children’s playground will be led by Kalibo Mayor Juris Sucro.
- At 4 p.m., the much-awaited Opening Sadsad Salvo begins with more than 3,700 drummers and 85 participating tribes parading through the streets.
- The official Opening Salvo Program will be led by Mayor Juris Sucro and Vice Mayor Cynthia Dela Cruz at 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks display.
- Yeng Constantino takes the stage at 9:30 p.m., promising a showstopping performance at Kalibo Pastrana Park.
Day 3 – October 6, 2024
- The Binibini ng Kalibo Ati-Atihan 2025 candidates will be officially presented to the public at 7 p.m., along with appearances from Tom Rodriguez, Efrille Canonigo, and more.
Ensuring Safety and Peace
With an estimated 20,000 visitors expected, the Kalibo Municipal Police Station and other security forces will implement strict measures to ensure the safety and well-being of festival-goers.
Special Guests
In a major development, Senator Imee Marcos is expected to attend the Opening Salvo, adding another layer of prestige to the event.
