Angeles City is renowned for its rich culinary legacy, particularly its iconic dish, sisig. The city continues to captivate both local and international food enthusiasts with its diverse food offerings from traditional street food to esteemed restaurants. Secretary Frasco commendably acknowledged local stakeholders for their tireless efforts in preserving and promoting this culinary heritage.

The award coincides with Angeles City’s initiatives to highlight its culinary treasures, such as recognizing Sisig Babi as Intangible Heritage. These efforts, alongside broader regional programs like Food Talks and the First International Conference on Kapampangan Cuisine & Food Tourism, contribute significantly to the city’s growing prominence in the culinary world.
