SAN QUINTIN, PANGASINAN — FO1 Diane Grace Caspillo Bassig of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in San Quintin is inspiring women to pursue careers in uniformed services such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the military.
“Being a woman doesn’t mean you should be confined to an office. If your heart and passion lie in helping others, why not join uniformed service careers? We can do it. We can excel in the uniformed service,” says FO1 Bassig, emphasizing that women are just as capable as their male counterparts in these fields.
She also highlighted the positive environment in the BFP San Quintin, where there is no discrimination, and everyone is treated equally. FO1 Bassig’s message encourages women to break barriers and pursue their passion for public service, proving that gender is not a limitation when it comes to making a difference in the community.
