The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Pangasinan continues to deliver notable achievements across different cities, showcasing their unwavering commitment to crime prevention and community safety. Recent operations in Dagupan City, Urdaneta, and Lingayen reflect the diverse and proactive approaches taken by law enforcement.

Nearly ₱300K Worth of Shabu Seized in Dagupan City Drug Bust

In a coordinated anti-drug operation on October 10, 2024, the Dagupan City Police, in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) RO1, successfully seized approximately 40 grams of shabu worth ₱272,000 in Barangay Mayombo, Dagupan City. Under the leadership of PLTCOL Brendon B. Palisoc, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended a 24-year-old suspect known by the alias “Mata,” a resident of Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Aside from the illegal drugs, authorities also confiscated a cellphone, cigarette case, marked money, and boodle money used during the buy-bust operation. The suspect is currently in custody and faces charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).

This operation reflects the Dagupan City Police’s ongoing efforts to dismantle drug networks and keep the streets free from illegal substances.

Meanwhile, in Urdaneta City, the police continue to strengthen ties with the community through their outreach program. On October 11, 2024, the Urdaneta City Police Station led by PLT Roselle L. Mariñas conducted PNP OPLAN BES (Bisita Eskwela I am STRONG) at Camantiles Day Care Center. The event provided a positive, heartwarming experience for the children, who received toys from the police officers.

This initiative aims to build trust between the police and the younger generation, while also fostering a sense of security within the community. The Urdaneta City Police’s dedication to community engagement serves as a vital step toward ensuring the safety of residents, particularly the youth.

Lingayen Police Earn Praise for Helping Stranded Driver

In a separate incident in Lingayen, Pangasinan, local police officers went above and beyond the call of duty when they assisted a truck driver whose vehicle broke down on a quiet road in Brgy. Domalandan West. PSSg Floro Bernabe and PSSg Albert Aviles, under the supervision of Officer-in-Charge PLTCOL Amor Mio I. Somine, quickly responded to the situation during their patrol.

The officers provided immediate assistance to the stranded driver, preventing potential traffic congestion and alleviating the driver’s concerns. The grateful truck owner praised the officers for their willingness to help, underscoring the importance of PNP’s presence in the community.

This simple act of kindness reflects the Lingayen Police Station’s commitment to serving the public, not just through law enforcement but also through compassion and service.
