In a coordinated anti-drug operation on October 10, 2024, the Dagupan City Police, in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) RO1, successfully seized approximately 40 grams of shabu worth ₱272,000 in Barangay Mayombo, Dagupan City. Under the leadership of PLTCOL Brendon B. Palisoc, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended a 24-year-old suspect known by the alias “Mata,” a resident of Pasay City, Metro Manila.
Aside from the illegal drugs, authorities also confiscated a cellphone, cigarette case, marked money, and boodle money used during the buy-bust operation. The suspect is currently in custody and faces charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).
